Had a good time...saw friends, had good salami and cheeses, picked blueberries, explored a great dog park, raced go-karts, blah blee blah.

The most interesting thing to me (but not to others) was Brett's progress this trip:

First day's drive: drooling, sad puppy in a crate. Very sad puppy. He didn't want to eat or drink or do anything until we got to the hotel room. He started to be pretty scared of not just being in our car, but any silver car or even parking lots in general.

Second day's drive: more drooling, sad puppy, but instead of drooling the whole time, just drooling at the beginning of each segment and towards the end. After we got to Seattle, he was scared of any and all parking lots and especially silver cars.

Third and fourth day: we took the crate out of the car, and since we were now in town, one of us just sat in the back of the car and held onto the puppy. He drooled a lot less with us there. He even seemed to start enjoying it a little!

Fifth day: Tom took care of Brett while I went out with Wendy. While I was out, Tom called with a breakthrough: Tom went into the backseat first and called Brett in: he jumped in after! No more sad puppy in car.

Sixth day, the drive home: Puppy in crate again. While not a very happy puppy, no drooling at all! Puppy seemed relatively ok the whole time, outside of the whole spending-the-whole-day-in-a-box thing. I mean, we took him out for walks and all, but fifteen hours of car is a bit much for anyone!

He's so happy to be home. It's so cute! He's a great puppy :)
