snake in the lab

We had a visitor in the molecular lab today!

Being a bunch of botanists, we were not exactly clamoring to grab the snake to get him out. In any case, we startled him and he crawled into one of our -80ÂșC freezers.

We considered leaving him alone until he calmed down, but decided that no one was going to be able to get any work done with a snake in the lab. So we turned off the freezer, removed the panels, and tried to grab the snake. He blended in very well with the electrical cords! Mark was finally able to grab it.

Then we took it downstairs and let it go outside.

Oh wow, it's really long! What sort of snake was it?

Oooh, excitement!! Why am I not surprised that it was Mark who grabbed it?

Aw, I like snakes (thanks to growign up somewhere where they can't kill you). I like it's cunning scheme to hide in some wires though.
